Hello! I'm Jackie

Jackie is a trained and certified Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula. She has completed her training with licensed NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association) Dr. Bharat Vaidya, Advanced Ayurvedic Physician of Ayurved Sadhana Vidyalaya in Superior, Colorado.

She is also a certified Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor through NAMA licensed Kerala Ayurveda Academy in Fremont, California, and has completed postpartum doula training with DONA International.

Ayurveda is one of the most established whole body health systems, originating in the Indian subcontinent, where a unique dietary approach and daily routine is based on the individual’s energy make-up or “dosha”. The goal of Ayurvedic Postnatal Care is to establish self-care that a birthing person can look forward to and have as a resource to encourage a mind, body, and spirit connection during this major life transition. During

this time, healthy milk supply (if breastfeeding), nourishment to help heal and restore, education on Ayurvedic herbs to help with various symptoms, and body work for the birthing person help the birthing person to recover and thrive.

For postnatal care, there is significant focus on care for the birthing person and daily rituals/routines that can affect physical, mental, and emotional health including proper nourishment and massage. The first 6 weeks (42 Days) are of most importance, per Ayurveda, for creating healthy habits and patterns that last a lifetime for a family. Therefore, how the first 42 Days are spent after delivery impact the next 42 years of life. Stressors of any kind can create congestion and increase “vata” (air element which runs high as it is in the postnatal period). Ayurvedic Postnatal Care is an investment in your whole family’s health and wellness!
